Artists I've Mixed Live
How I Started Mixing Live Shows
My venture into live sound engineering stemmed from the necessity of my band. Relying on in-house sound personnel was hit or miss, often resulting in less-than-pleasant experiences. So I decided to design and construct a custom front-of-house (FOH) rig, playback system, and In-Ear Monitor (IEM) rack. Collaborating with my brother, who oversaw road management and lighting, we established a high-quality system for our use and have since helped others create a seamless flow for delivering music and messages to audiences without any distractions.
Skills and Experience
While my forte is front-of-house and monitor mixing, I also have skills and experience in:
Live broadcast mixing
Stagehand, production assistant, and production manager duties
Technical directing and consulting
Pedalboard building, repair, and maintenance
Guitar setups and maintenance
Simple Ableton tracks playback setup and MIDI programming
Over the years, I've journeyed thousands of miles across the US, van, trailer, and bus touring with high-quality, custom-built rigs and have enough personal gear available to support most small artists and bands, tailored to their unique needs. You can view my detailed resume below.
My years as a musician give me a unique insight into how artists think and how I can now best meet their needs as an engineer.
I'm a hard worker, detail-oriented, natural leader, and I like to keep things positive.
